Awards

|
The Awards are open to all free paper presenters at the Conference. The best
papers in each category will be short listed and these will then be marked
by a separate Award Judging Committee.
The Conference Committee invites prospective participants to submit abstracts
for podium or poster presentations at any of the the three conferences being
run concurrently.
Please note that all presenting authors must be registrants for the full conference
where they are presenting and must present original work. Presenters must also
be members of Sports Medicine Australia to be eligible for the more than $28,000
in Conference awards. Membership of SMA is open to both Australian and International
delegates.
Papers will be allocated an Award shortlist at the discretion of the Conference Committee. Authors are not required to select the Awards for which they would like to be considered. However, if authors wish to be considered for a Young Investigator Award they must be under 36 years of age and select the 18-35 age bracket when submitting their abstract. Where no age category is selected the paper will only be eligible for the Open Awards.
