Allied health professionals for Sydney

Health professionals in a multi disciplinary allied health practice in Gladesville (NSW), about 15 mins west of the CBD. We currently have an opportunity for like minded health professionals to join our practice and would like to invite a dietitian, psychologist, or any other allied health professional who would like to either relocate or establish their practice within a large practice (currently over 10 000 patients on database). The University of Western Sydney, Australia has a range of academic positions available in the School of Biomedical and Health Science. There are 4 Lecturer/Senior Lecturer positions are in the areas of sport and exercise science and physical education. Specific expertise in one or more of the following areas is required: motor development and skill acquisition; biomechanics; clinical exercise physiology; sport science and coaching; and social-cultural aspects of recreation, sport, and exercise. There is also a Professor/Associate Professor in Public Health position that will work closely with other staff in implementing existing programs and in contributing to a range of new research and teaching initiatives.

Tournament Doctor for 2009 Brisbane Tennis International

Tennis Queensland is seeking to appoint a Doctor (referred to as the Tournament Physician) for the 2009 Brisbane International. The Brisbane International is a combined mens and womens tennis event being conducted at the new State Tennis Centre at Tennyson. As a requirement of the ATP and WTA associations, we are required to provide our athletes the services of Tournament Physician.

Remuneration options can be discussed on an individual basis, options include access to tickets to the event, accreditation to the event etc.

This is a great event to be involved in and exciting opportunity to be close to the action at a world class event in Brisbane and the new state of the art Tennis Centre.

Our requirements include the provision of a Chief Physician who would be the contact person for the WTA and ATP during the event. The role is primarily for the players at the event, separate assistance is sought for general public. The WTA and ATP also provide Primary Health Care Providers (PHCP) and Massage Therapists separate to this role.

If you are interested, or would like any further information on the role, please do not hesitate to contact me for further details. Please feel free to pass this information on to other local Sports Physicians who may be interested in this role. We are looking to secure a Physician in the coming weeks. Our preference is for qualified physicians to have a sports specialty.
