JSAMSThe Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport (JSAMS), published by Sports Medicine Australia, is a major international peer reviewed research publication on sport science and medicine, sports injury prevention and physical activity promotion, currently ranked 17 out of 71 journals in the field. The Journal provides high quality, original research papers to keep members and subscribers informed of developments in sports science and medicine. Produced for SMA six times a year by Elsevier Australia, it reflects SMA’s commitment to encouraging world-class research within the industry, and its commitment to the continuing education of its members..

Online Access

To access the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport, follow these instructions:

1. Go to http://www.jsams.org/claim/activate
2. If you have already registered enter your username and password in the Sign In box and skip to step 4; or if you have not yet registered: Enter your email address and create a password in the Register box and click continue.
3. At the Create a profile page, provide or select the most appropriate response from the required fields. You must check the User Aggreement to continue to the next screen.
4. Select Yes to Activate the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport. Click continue.
5. On the next screen, select Yes, you are a society member. Then choose Sports Medicine Australia (SMA) in the left box. You will need to enter your society member number which can be found on the cover page delivered with the Journal. It is the 8 digit Customer Reference number.
6. Click Claim Access. You should now have access to full-text content of for Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport.

Editor-in-Chief Professor Gregory Kolt

Professor Gregory Kolt is the Head of the School of Biomedical and Health Sciences at the University of Western Sydney. Prior to this he spent 7 years in New Zealand as Professor of Health Science, Associate Dean (Research), and Founder and Co-Director of the Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition Research in the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences at Auckland University of Technology.
